Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data, and nothing beyond them:

• Google account information. Your email address, display name, and profile photo, collected when you sign in through Google OAuth.
• Writing voice sample. Text you provide during humanizer setup. It is stored so that AI output can be personalized to match your writing.
• Text content. Essays or documents you submit for humanization. This text is processed and is not stored after processing completes.
• Usage activity. Timestamps recording when you use the extension. These are used to maintain your account and to measure product health.
• Subscription and payment data. Payments are managed by Stripe. We store your plan status. We do not store payment card details.
• Bug reports. Text and technical information you voluntarily submit through the bug report feature.
• Browser and extension version. Collected alongside bug reports for diagnostic purposes.

Use of artificial intelligence

EasyType uses AI technology powered by a large language model to process and rewrite text submitted by users through the Humanize feature. Your submitted text and writing voice sample are sent to our AI processing server for this purpose.

We do not use your text to train AI models.

How we use it

To authenticate you, unlock the features included in your plan, process payments, provide the Humanize feature, respond to bug reports, and understand how the product is performing. We do not sell your data, and we do not store, read, or transmit the contents of any Google Doc you type into.

Third party services

We rely on the following third party services to operate EasyType:

• Google OAuth — sign-in authentication.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Turso — database storage.
• Ollama (self-hosted) — AI text processing.
